Background
Vigdis Wiik Jacobsen is Director for Business Development. She has worked with exploration activities in Norway and internationally for more than 30 years

From 2001, Jacobsen participated in the establishment of Gaz de France Norge, where she was responsible for the exploration activity on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. From 1983 to 2001, she worked mainly with exploration at Statoil, as the exploration manager on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and later as Vice President for exploration in the Caspian Sea. Jacobsen has also been the head of the exploration committee of the Norwegian Oil Industry Association (OLF). Jacobsen started her career at the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate and holds a Master's in Geology from the University of Oslo.
