North Energy desires to adopt active approaches to new manners of thinking, to take the initiative for broad area solutions and new technological possibilities in order to establish assets in the northern areas.
Through close co-operation with industry suppliers and other technology environments, the company will contribute to optimising this work. For example, North Energy is participating in the Coldtech research project, which places an emphasis on cold technology and arctic challenges. Through our licence interests and operatorship, North Energy highlights its own perspectives on development needs and good, sustainable solutions for the optimum benefit of its owners.
The company's technology competence is involved in all the company's activities, from exploration to operation. A special focus will be placed on exploration, platform technology, subsea solutions, subsea processing/compression, flow assurance and the possibilities for economic onshore facilities with associated add-on effects for the Northern Norwegian business community.
North Energy will, through its activities, contribute to regional industrial and business development in the north, in close dialogue with locally available competence. Access to the resources requires acceptance and legitimacy from the population of Northern Norway.
Further development in the Norwegian Continental Shelf can in many ways be characterised as a technology race. The Norwegian Continental Shelf has been the most important engine for the development of new technology and technological understanding. North Energy thus sees the significance of having active petroleum activity on the Continental Shelf in order for it to keep its world-leading position as a development and demonstration arena for new technology and new manners of thinking, to the benefit of Norwegian industry and the Norwegian business community.
